The President's newest judicial nominee is causing some controversy among the American population. Brett Talley was appointed a lifetime post as an Alabama federal judge and he has never tried a case in his life. As a matter of fact, Talley is a self proclaimed ghost hunter and has written several books about paranormal.
Many believe that there is also a conflict of interest issue with Talley taking the role. He failed to disclose that his wife is a White House lawyer on his questionnaire but did admit to being part of the Tuscaloosa Paranormal Research Group. Talley was even deemed "not qualified" by the American Bar Association to serve on the US District Court for the Middle District of Alabama, in a unanimous decision.
Talley was Trump's pick for the judgeship and last week he was approved by a Senate committee. He is most likely to be confirmed by the entire chamber sometime soon.
